  • Breaking: TokenAdjustEventTrackerFactory takes a list of AdjustTokens, each pairing a token with an event type, instead of a map from event names: TokenAdjustEventTrackerFactory([AdjustToken<SignUpCompleted>('abc123')]). A renamed event keeps its token, the compiler checks the list, and an event that extends a listed type uses its token too. A type listed twice throws an ArgumentError.
  • Fix: herald_widgets' docs no longer give the notification shade as an example on iOS, where the notification centre sends the app to the background and so hides the screen. Control Centre is the iOS example now. The behaviour doesn't change.

  • Fix: herald_appsflyer allows every appsflyer_sdk 7 version again, instead of exactly 7.0.2+1, so apps get AppsFlyer's fixes without a Herald release.

The first stable release. From now on the API changes incompatibly only in a major version.

  • New: herald_widgets, an optional package for tracking from Flutter widgets, like the Android SDK's herald-compose. TrackScreenView tracks a screen view each time a screen becomes visible, TrackOnScreen tracks any event when a screen is shown or hidden, TrackImpression tracks something once it is really on screen, and HeraldScope.of(context) gives widgets the tracker for taps.
  • Upgrade: herald_appsflyer needs appsflyer_sdk 7.0.2+1 exactly. AppsFlyer published a release candidate as 7.0.2+2-rc1, which pub ranks above every stable 7.x version, so a version range would pick it.

The first preview of Herald for Flutter: the Android SDK's design, in Dart, over each vendor's official Flutter plugin.

  • New: herald, the core, in pure Dart: events and properties with typed values, the five capability interfaces, the factory chain and the Herald fan-out.
  • New: herald_firebase, herald_adjust, herald_mixpanel, herald_appsflyer and herald_amplitude, over firebase_analytics 12, adjust_sdk 5, mixpanel_flutter 2, appsflyer_sdk 7 and amplitude_flutter 4.
  • New: herald_log, which prints every call in the Android SDK's format.
  • New: herald_testing, with FakeAnalyticsProvider and its assertions.
